Margaret Nadeau
Expressing art in various forms has been
a part of Margaret's inner self since childhood. She graduated in Art from
UCLA, where S, MacDonald-Wright influenced her observation of form which she has
applied in her paintings. She has studied under other well-known painters and
sculptors. She has created numerous works of sculpture in bronze , stone,
and terra cotta and has shown them in galleries and art shows in Saratoga and
Santa Barbara, California as well as in Houston,Texas.
Since 1998 Margaret has devoted herself to landscape and still-life painting in
oil. In pursuing this passion of painting , she has studied under famous oil
painters from Southern California and professionals from other states.
Margaret has shown her paintings in several galleries in Santa Barbara and has
participated in many well-known art shows. She has won several awards
including First Place and Best in Show. She is a member of MAST, California Art
Club, Santa Barbara Art Association, Goleta Valley Art Association and SCAPE
(Southern California Artists Painting for the Environment).
Her inspiration comes from "the endless beauty of nature bathed in the glow of
sunrise or sunset light." Painting full time, she prefers the Plein-Air
approach in a location in Santa Barbara or in other places in California.
Her work can be seen at Gallery 113 and the Faulkner Gallery in Santa Barbara
